By far the best carvery I have ever had and I’ve had a few. Couldn’t fault a thing . Staff was on point . Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go again. Thank you
Very friendly and welcoming!! . We were quite a large party plus a dog but nothing was too much trouble for the Staff - they even brought the dog a bowl of water ! The food was outstanding !! - lovely and fresh and very very generous portions of meat . Lovely selection of hand made desserts if you had any room left ! I can think of no negative points at all - our visit was just amazing !! Thank you all !
Highly recommended by coworkers so thought about giving it a go. Great space for any meal. Large portions and very well made. I had the full English and was well worth it. Dog friendly, with a nice walk around the forest starting near the restaurant itself.
The reviews were positive so we chose to eat here. We were not disappointed. Great staff. Super welcoming and attentive. The food was fantastic quality, and not overpriced. A first visit for us, but not the last. Worth the 80 mile round trip.
We have eaten at the Fisherman's Arms numerous times over the last few years whilst we have stayed at Docklow Pools. Due to its popularity, we pre booked our table. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. And even though they are busy, they make time to have a chat and a laugh. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. We can't wait to go back!
Really excellent breakfast with some lovely local produce in this lovely location. I’m relatively new to the area and brought my father in law here for a hearty breakfast! We weren’t disappointed in the taste and quality of the food. The only minor issue was the level of Halloween decorations, in my opinion a little over the top! Don’t let this put you off though... I’ll be back for sure!
WOW! Best carvery I have had in a while, while other pubs seem to be struggling with producing quality food due to price rises, the fisherman’s arms is knocking it out of the park. Gorgeous old farm building warm and inviting atmosphere, and they even had lamb in the menu, how many carveries do that? The only reason for marking them down on service was because they seemed to be struggling with communication and speed of service was impeded by this. But all staff were warm and friendly at all times, and for such a beautiful setting, we didn’t mind having a slightly longer wait than usual. We will be back.
Had a few days break in a lodge, so of course we used the fishermans arms for food. Such lovely staff especially Adele, who was cheerful and bubbly everytime we saw her. Saturday we had an evening meal I had Lasagne, handout chips, garlic bread and salad it was lovely , my other half had scampi and handout chips. Meals were lovely and hot, we sat in the conservatory this time. Sunday we had breakfast sandwiches, that was in the coffee shop area which is linked to the restaurant. Sunday we had the carvery which was as good as people have said, you can have more than 1 meat, plenty of variety of veg and yummy roasties. Takeaway breakfast sandwiches on Monday. Tuesday morning full breakfasts hot fresh and yummy. Great service from Adele. Hope we will back sometime
